YFC Tavush 2024

The Youth for Change Tavush 2024 project has wrapped up, and what an incredible journey it was! In collaboration with Yerevan State University (YSU), this year’s program brought together 13 enthusiastic participants, including 9 students from YSU’s Faculty of Geography and Geology, alongside 4 eager adventurers selected from a competitive pool of applicants.

Imagine waking up each day in the heart of Tavush, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, ready to roll up your sleeves and dive into trailbuilding. That’s exactly how our mornings started - energized and ready to make a difference. Our participants took on the challenge of enhancing the hiking trails, adding their touch to the beauty of the region.

But the day didn’t end with the swing of a tool. Afternoons were dedicated to expanding minds with sessions on first aid, adventure tourism, and even astrology and star navigation.

After the hard work and learning, it was time to explore. Dilijan, with its enchanting charm, welcomed our participants for an unforgettable discovery tour. From its lush forests to its historical sites, the town offered a perfect blend of relaxation and cultural immersion, showing why it’s one of Armenia’s top destinations.

The YFC Tavush 2024 project was more than just a camp—it was a life-changing experience. By bringing together the academic rigor of Yerevan State University and the hands-on expertise of our program, we’ve nurtured a group of young leaders who are now equipped with the skills and passion to drive change in their communities.
