Keeping the TCT Alive: Maintenance Updates from Syunik and Vayots Dzor

Maintaining the Transcaucasian Trail is at the heart of our mission. It's not just about creating new routes, but about returning to the places we've worked – again and again – to make sure the trails remain safe, clean, and welcoming for everyone. Over the past few weeks, our team has been back in the field, this time focusing on two key sections of the trail: the route from Bekh to Vahanavank in Syunik, and the stretch between Gomk and Martiros in Vayots Dzor.

In both regions, we carried out essential maintenance. We repaired damaged sections of the trail, cleared overgrown vegetation that had crept into the path, refreshed trail blazes to help guide hikers, and removed fallen trees that blocked the way. These efforts may not always be visible from a distance, but they make all the difference when you're out on the trail.

Thanks to the hard work of our crew these sections are once again ready to be explored. Whether you're a local hiker or a traveler discovering Armenia for the first time, you can count on a trail that’s clear, safe, and full of the natural beauty that makes this region so special.

We’re proud to continue this work – and we’re always excited to welcome you back to the trail.
