Since 2017, Trails For Change (TFC) has been at the forefront of trail building and restoration in Armenia and Artsakh– building the infrastructure that enables the growing eco-tourism sector in Armenia. With a dedicated team of 22 professionals representing all regions of Armenia and the support of over 230 volunteers and conservation corps participants, we've developed 80 trails spanning over 1,000 kilometers. 

One of our most exciting and impactful projects has been our work on the long-distance Transcaucasian Trail (TCT), with the resulting 861-kilometer trail across Armenia putting the country firmly on the global hiking radar. These trails don’t only make Armenia’s rugged mountains accessible– they also draw people to places they might not otherwise visit, creating opportunities in rural communities to develop small businesses and revitalize villages. 

This evening will highlight the transformative work we've undertaken since our inception in 2017 and what’s ahead for 2024 and beyond. You’ll hear the stories behind our trail development efforts from team members visiting from Armenia, and learn about our joint initiatives like the Caucasus Conservation Corps (CCC) and Youth For Change (YFC) programs, aimed at empowering youth with employment opportunities in conservation and outdoor recreation.

We’ll also showcase Armenian culture with dance performances by our friends at the Hayastan Dance Center - including an opportunity to learn and participate if you wish!

All proceeds raised will support TFC’s work on the TCT in Armenia as well as other exciting projects - including our goal to install official signage on the completed TCT beginning in 2024. By joining us, you’ll contribute to a cause that's shaping the future of Armenia's natural and cultural landscapes.
